The  Maritime Talent Acquisition Specialist follows the full end to end resourcing for both the technical and the commercial divisions, supporting and adding value to the Talent Acquisition strategy whenever possible.

Follows both short-term and long-term recruitment campaigns for highly experienced professionals in both the technical and commercial sectors related to personnel (officers, engineers, architects, specialists) for the shipping industry

Description of the maritime talent acquisition role

  • Follows both short-term and long-term recruitment campaigns for highly experienced professionals in both the technical and commercial sectors related to personnel (officers, engineers, architects, specialists) for the shipping industry
  • Sources potential candidates through online channels (social platforms, professional networks etc.)
  • Negotiates salary and benefit packages pre-agreed with the Head of HR with candidates at all levels of seniority, in line with budget available
  • Follows the full cycle, end-to-end recruitment both through the company web page and with sourcing agencies
  • Support the Head of HR in defining the talent acquisition plan for the year
  • Benchmarks vacancies against competition and advise on competitive salary/benefits packages Helps drafting and reviews JDs and profiles on the Careers web page
  • Prepares relevant reports and statistics
  • Participates to career/recruitment events if needed
  • Takes steps to ensure positive candidate experience


Experience Required

Experience required for the Talent Acquisition Specialist

  • Previous experience as recruiter/talent acquisition, preferably of technical personnel (officers, engineers, architects, specialists) for the shipping industry
  • CIPD qualified is preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience in recruiting for a high number of different profiles and at different levels of seniority, showing excellent time management skills
  • Results-driven, multitasking, a resource who reacts well under pressure;
  • Great attention to detail is essential together with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
